Accoord visits urban art in Lisboa
Sketch reportage
October 2025
Client: Accoord
Based in Nantes, France, Accoord is a publicly funded, education-driven association working to strengthen communities, and this visit was all about learning how street art can become a tool for connection - especially in neighborhoods that are often left out of the cultural spotlight. In Lisboa, they met with the incredible team at Galeria de Arte Urbana, the municipal cabinet that has been shaping and supporting the city's urban art scene, including the Festival MURO, and a team from Gebalis the municipal company that manages social housing.
I had the privilege of accompanying them through meetings, conversations, and walks across the city - particularly in social housing areas where art becomes more than expression; it becomes presence, identity, and dialogue. These sketches are fragments of that journey: people listening, sharing, questioning, and imagining how art can gather communities together.
