People give life to cities, and without knowing it, to our urban drawings too! To fill these spaces with human figures, you don't need to master anatomy perfectly. You just need careful observation, some basic techniques and curiosity about the diversity of shapes and movements that surround us.
In this class, we'll explore a few simple techniques to get expression and liveliness in your sketches of people, without having to worry about proportions or likeliness. We'll also learn how to place people seamlessly into their surrounding space, so that our on-location sketches feel alive.
The goal isn’t academic precision but to develop a graphic language that effectively represents the human form in an illustrated style.
