Learn to feel comfortable sketching while traveling anywhere in the world, in this online course! Submit your work and get my feedback anytime, no matter when you take each class.
We are, by nature, sketcher-travelers. Given the opportunity, there’s no place, situation, or character that hides from our pens and brushes when we’re finding out about a new place. But with limited time, how do we decide what we want to sketch? And why do we want to sketch what we choose?
In this 4-part course, we’ll explore the world through drawings, comfortably from our chairs, capturing the best that travel has to offer—the experience. We’ll focus on colors, values, contrasts, and similarities—words we use when talking about both travel and sketching. That’s no coincidence!
Goals:
- Moments instead of paintings: Become acquainted with new layout and framing techniques
- Speed is your friend: Learn hacks to speed up your sketching, and to make peace with the unfinished
- Let curiosity guide you: Pretty pictures are nothing compared to what you learn from actually investigating your surrounding culture and people.
This course is hosted by Vivify, an innovative online learning platform that uses AI to establish a more direct and efficient connection between students and instructor.
