Pleasure Plexus is an upcoming illustrated book on Kama Sutra, published by the artists' collective of the same name. It's a fresh new vision on the classic writings, illustrated by 34 artists based in Portugal, of which I have the honor of being part of. This informed, inclusive and sensible approach, sheds a new light on this ancient manual that guides pleasure and enjoyment on all aspects of one's life.

Ever since the Urban Sketchers Chicago organized the International USk Symposium in 2017, they held the Sketch Seminar, as an annual celebration of the city’s love for sketching. This year I’m thrilled to teach two workshops among fellow Chicagoan sketchers!
With the highrise skyline as a set, the busy streets as extras, we’ll seek out the main stories of Chicago and tell them economically and intuitively. It will be a revamp of the workshop I taught in the Urban Sketchers Symposium in Poznan
Sketch Fest International is an artistic and educational event bringing together students and invited artists for an intensive week of drawing, illustration and large-scale painting.
Set in the Douro wine region, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the program combines artistic practice, territory exploration and collaborative creation in a real-world context.
Barcelona is the 2026 World Capital of Architecture, and rightly so! The Urban Sketchers Barcelona are taking the opportunity to celebrate together, and hold their annual BCN Sketch Fest under the theme of architecture. I am honored to be in such great company as one of the teachers of the Festival. I’ll get to teach two workshops in the streets of the Catalonian city.

In this 4-session course, I’ll share the techniques I use to sketch live performances, whether on stage or on the street. We’ll focus on using watercolor to fuse atmosphere and performer, keeping the linework to the bare essentials.
Reality is full of details—but when we sketch it, we simplify, we refocus, we interpret it. I’m very excited to be joining you in Poznan this summer for the Urban SketchersInternational Symposium.
Ready to see the world differently? Get your spot in Sketch like theater: show less, tell more and fill your sketchbook with awesome stories!
Learn to feel comfortable sketching the busy setting of a local market, in this 4-part sketching course! Get instructor feedback, whenever you watch the workshop.
We are, by nature, sketcher-travelers. Given the opportunity, there’s no place, situation, or character that hides from our pens and brushes when we’re finding out about a new place. But with limited time, how do we decide what we want to sketch? And why do we want to sketch what we choose?
In this 4-part course, we’ll explore the world through drawings, comfortably from our chairs, capturing the best that travel has to offer—the experience
In this class, we'll explore a few simple techniques to get expression and liveliness in your sketches of people, without having to worry about proportions or likeliness. We'll also learn how to place people seamlessly into their surrounding space, so that our on-location sketches feel alive.
As urban sketchers, we thrive in showing the world and its people one sketch at a time. I want you to feel comfortable in your sketches of people in action. During my workshop - Local Market, Great People - I’ll help you loosen up your perspectives and environment to get the maximum focus on the story of your sketch.
More of a tutored sketching meeting than a formal workshop, I’ll be in the old town of Vilnius showing a few techniques on how I handle composition in a street sketch. Join us for a good sketching time!

I'm partnering with Etchr Studio again in launching a free art demo next Tuesday, May 7th, at 2pm EST - that's 7pm Lisbon time. During the demo, I'll tease a few tips and techniques on how to grasp the human figure with pen and watercolor, which we'll explore in depth in the upcoming Figure Drawing: Expressive People and Composition.
Come for the live sketching, stay for the Etchr art supplies giveaway!
"Sketching Life" workshops are an initiative by urban sketcher Alán Ramiro, designed to integrate drawing into everyday life. The courses are monthly, online, and include a session led by a guest instructor. The February edition features me as a guest instructor on Wednesday of the third week - on the 22nd.
PART 1: Fit for beginners. This course will teach you how to go from stick figures to fully drawn people. I will cover multiple themes, such as proportion, body, facial and hand gestures and expressions, and how to depict people with different body types from different angles.
PART 2: Learn how to use watercolor to add shape and dimension, conveying clothes and believable fabric movement, hairstyles and textures, as well as posing from different angles.
